Dr. Iris Alvarez from the Instituto de Física Rosario, through the National Microscopy System (Undersecretariat for Institutional Coordination, Secretariat for Scientific and Technological Articulation, MinCyT), reports that as of Monday, March 5, 2018, the new Electron Microscope of Transmission and Scanning of the IFIR Microscopy Center will enter into services for the entire Science and Technology community and the Productive Sector.

Dr. Iris Alvarez from the Instituto de Física Rosario, through the National Microscopy System (Undersecretariat for Institutional Coordination, Secretariat for Scientific and Technological Articulation, MinCyT), reports that as of Monday, March 5, 2018, the new Electron Microscope of Transmission and Scanning of the IFIR Microscopy Center will enter into services for the entire Science and Technology community and the Productive Sector.
The new equipment of the IFIR Microscopy Center was recently acquired thanks to the approval of a project presented to the Santafecina Agency of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of the Province of Santa Fe corresponding to the 2015 CALL for EQUIPMENTS OF HIGH COMPLEXITY.

This high-tech equipment combines the potentialities of the Transmission and Scanning modes allowing the visualization of microstructural and nano-structural details for their use within Materials Science and structural and ultra-structural in the case of Biological Sciences, details that with a conventional TEM it would be difficult to distinguish them.
